Scripture for the Day

"Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus,
who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped,
but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men.
Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.
For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name,
so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."
NASB, Php 2:5-11.

And Introducing Our Wonderful Children

Jason (26) & Erin; Amber (24) & Chris;
Kristin (22) & Aaron; Patrick (18)

It does not get any better than this.

“No one has ascended into heaven, but He who descended from heaven: the Son of Man. As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up; so that whoever believes will in Him have eternal life. For God so aloved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him." NASB, Jn 3:13-17.

Our newest family member.... Otto.

Jason and Erin live in New Jersey. They have been married for 2 years. We love our "daughter-in-love". We don't know what Erin saw in Jason but we are glad she did and that she keeps him around. Jason works as a Technical Training Specialist for Covanta Energy. Jason is also student at Thomas Edison University. Erin also works at Covanta and doubles the workload by keeping Jason in line and out of trouble (with which we are grateful). Jason and Erin recently moved into their first home. We had a chance to visit them this fall and see the house. They picked a beautiful holder home in an outstanding community. Good job Jason and Erin!!

Amber and her husband Chris Satterwhite along with their cat and dog live in Arkansas (I would tell you where but trust me, you could not find it on a map). Chris is a full-time minister and Amber works as a music teacher (k-12). This year is Amber's first year in full time teaching. Amber and Chris serve their church and community as NT examples to the great commandment to love your neighbor. Amber and Chris both have wonderful voices and love to sing publicly sing together when invited.

Kristin has completed her academic studies at Midwestern State University and will graduate in December.  Kristin studied education with an emphasis on Math. Kristin works two part time jobs one at a local bookstore and the other with children at a church. Kristin married Aaron on May 26th, 2007 and we could not be more pleased with her choice of husband. We have welcomed Aaron into our family with open arms. He is a 2007 graduate of Midwestern State University studying History. We are praying for Aaron as he seeks out the job to support his family.

Patrick is a Freshman at Collin College in preparation of transferring to UNT in the fall of 2009. He wants to major in Criminal Justice.  We cannot tell you how proud we are of this young man. Patrick works at Taco Bell to earn a couple extra bucks. Inside this young man is a great man screaming to let loose. God willing, that great man will be set free.
